We built the thing
we kept looking for.
The modern woman is a center of gravity, and a container of beautiful chaos. We built Loop de Lune for her: jewelry first, that happens to carry her phone, and holds its own from the school run to the dinner reservation. We believe utility and whimsy were never meant to be mutually exclusive.
How we got here
Justine and Shu-min met through work and bonded over two things: a shared joie de vivre, and a chronic inability to find their phones.
As working mothers, the options on offer seemed to be:
a) always wear something with pockets,
b) tolerate a strap that flies off your wrist or flaps against your torso, or
c) replace a shattered screen several times a year.
None of these were stylish. Most of them weren't even functional.
So we improvised: random metal and plastic parts, a pair of pliers, a glue gun — craft nights over glasses of wine. The prototypes were rudimentary. The reaction wasn't: friends and strangers kept asking where to get one.
We pulled on that thread. A design process inspired by architecture and nature, blending sensuous lines with chunky strength. A story steeped in mythology, from the circularity of the moon that gives us our name to the goddesses of old whose stories are worth retelling. A months-long search for materials elevated enough to wear and tough enough to live in.
The result is Loop de Lune. Your essentials, finally somewhere worth keeping.
