Wax, not wane.

Our acetate bangles are made from plant cellulose, cut and polished to bring out its depth of color. It's lightweight, warm to the touch, and made to be worn every day — with two exceptions. Keep it away from heat: a sunny dashboard, a hairdryer, or a sauna can soften and warp the shape. Avoid strong chemicals like perfume, hairspray, nail polish remover, alcohol-based sanitizer, and sunscreen, which can all cloud the surface over time.

To clean, wipe with a damp cloth dipped in lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, and pat dry with a soft cloth. Store it in its pouch, out of direct sunlight, which can fade color over time. 

The metal on our jewelry is solid brass, sealed with a nano-coating that protects its finish from tarnish and everyday wear. The system attachments, such as O-rings and chains, are gold-plated stainless steel, chosen because they carry the load and take the most friction. 

While coatings fade naturally over time, treating it gently will extend its life. To clean, wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Avoid any strong chemicals that may strip off the protective coating. Take your bangle off before swimming, the gym, or cleaning with household chemicals. Store all pieces in individual plastic bags in the pouch, so metal doesn’t rub against metal.

Our straps are made from natural leather, which naturally soften over time. Keep it dry where you can. If it gets wet, blot gently with a soft cloth and let it air-dry at room temperature, never with a hairdryer or in direct sun, which can stiffen and crack it. Avoid contact with lotions, perfume, and oils.  

To spot clean, wipe gently with a soft cloth. Every few months, or whenever it starts to feel dry, work in a small amount of leather conditioner with a soft cloth. Store it in its pouch, away from sunlight and humidity.
